Thank you for your e-mail dated 24 July 2015.

I am afraid I can only reiterate the information that has previously been provided.

The investigation into the wider impact of a temporary and permanent weight restriction on the A5127 Birmingham Road / Church Street / Trent Valley Road will be carried out over the next few weeks.  The investigation will consider the potential displacement of traffic onto other routes through residential areas; the signing that would have to accompany any enforceable weight restriction; and the funding required.

In addition, we continue to work with Highways England to agree the most appropriate routing of traffic and to improve communications about when the diversion routes will be used.
