Hi Everybody
Just thought you would like to know that the closure according to roadworks.org will now go on for another week till 11th of March. I take it that from not receiving any correspondence from this closure that everything is alright for everybody? I personally have been getting grief as it is on my side this time and I have been lobbying certain companies eg: APC, Pallettrack etc. to try and get them to force the drivers to adhere to the diversion route but seems they try but the drivers wont conform, we are at the moment mainly getting the high sided vehicles coming through as the normal 14ft vehicles can negotiate the bridge just past McDonald’s thus not having to come back down the diversion route well that’s the way I see it so it could be worse. Anyway you have another week of it. One would think that when this section is done the other side will be sanctioned in the future, that is when the volume will increase 3 fold due to origin of destinations. I have emailed Janet Eagland for any update and she has forwarded it to Mark Deaville to hopefully get back with something.
If there’s anything else you want to know or like to tell me contact me. I am also keeping an eye on the A515 Yoxall problem which could help us in the future.
Thanks Roy
Roy,
Thanks for your latest post,
It is still an on-going unpleasant experience along Sainte Foy Avenue,
Particularly the larger lorries that travel past in the early hours of the morning as some make the walls vibrate.
Keep up the good work!
Regards
James
