Hi Everybody,
Just a quick email announcing the forthcoming closure of the A38 (Cappers lane to Streethay section) on the 26/06/17 till 07/07/17.
The diversion route according to Roadworks.org should be Cappers Lane to Trent Valley island then through Streethay to the A38 and visa versa.
Experience tells me that not all will follow diversion signs so expect disruption on the nights in question from 21.00 till 06.00.
Unfortunate for Streethay they will bear the brunt of it.
No signs are out yet for the diversion route, but i will look tomorrow night to confirm the route. For people who used to have Caroline Wood as their councillor, you need to contact your new councillor Natasha Pullen at natasha.pullen@staffordshire.gov.uk or natasha.pullen@lichfielddc.gov.uk For Terry Finn i believe your new councillor is Colin Greatorex who can be contacted on
colin.greatorex@staffordshire.gov.uk or Colin.Greatorex@lichfielddc.gov.uk.
colin.greatorex@staffordshire.gov.uk or Colin.Greatorex@lichfielddc.gov.uk.
Should you experience disruption please contact your councillors to let them know your feelings, its been quiet recently but as i have said before it will keep on happening
and we need to keep on their backs.
Thanks
Roy
Thank you for the update.
We will see how it goes and will contact our councillor if necessary, a previous letter regarding increased levels of HGV through traffic to our MP has met with a good response, a letter to Staffordshire council was met with a response to just look at the working group for traffic that has been set up.
However regarding HGV through traffic- last week my husband had to move quickly out the way when two HGVs met at the top of Upper St John St(A51) where the road is too narrow for the size of these lorries to pass safely – so one HGV decided to drive along the pavement at speed. My husband is in his 70s, good job he can move quickly as the HGV had no interest in the safety of pedestrians.
